seriously. Like JJ said street racing stories are excellent for NYSpeed. This is so foolish. Stop driving like a schmuck, your MK2 is not a race car, you'll figure that out someday.

alright people i realize that an n/a 16v on stock internals has no chance against a bmw with 8 or 6 cylinder, and no i don't beat the shit out of my car 24/7 only once in a while, partially because i do all my own work and partially because i don't like speeding tickets, don't think i change transmissions in my driveway for fun

Street racing is not cool, but I can guarantee everyone here has done it at least once since getting their license.

Just recognize how irresponsible and dangerous it is for yourself and especially others on the road.

No reason for you to beat the shit out of it. The owner before steve did that, steve did it when he owned it and everyone he let drive it. When I bought it, I beat it like a red headed step child along with handing the keys over to anyone else that wanted to. When I sold it, every other owner since have beat the shit out of it.
