no, the jump box does not put out enough amps by itself. battery must also be good in order for it to work.

replace battery, then alternator like a few others have mentioned. both easy fixes

battery charger wont provide enough current to crank. But if you run jumpers from a running car to the dead one it should crank.

ok so it is the battery, i jumped it today with a full charged portable jump box.. Question know is how do swap in a new battery without throwing my radio into safe mode?

just leave the jump box connected to the battery terminals while you're swapping out the battery

eh i unplug my battery all the time without throwing the battery into safe mode..

My battery shit the bed the same way this winter. You probably have the original battery in there. I did lasted for 6 years lol

I swap out the battery with the car running. then no worries of battery codes.
