3M Tape sucks !

So I need to re attach my side skirt, but before doing so I have to take off the existing 3M tape on my rocker panel. What is the best/most effective method to do so?

I'm thinking using a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive a bit then just pulling it off. then some goo gone to clean it up a bit.

Any other ideas ?

make sure everything is SUPER clean before you go ahead and put on the new 3m. if thats what you are going to do again.

and to remove the old. Castle makes a product called super sol, works great to remove stuff like that. you should be able to find it at mobils and places like that, that have castle things.

Careful with the heat, you don't want to toast the paint. 3M also makes a Universal Adhesive Remover which is about the same as all the other products. Use a lot and let it soak and work. Don't rub too much or you'll scratch everything all up.
