Audi B3 headlights are nasty sick with pitting and fogging. I dunno if it's peculiar with the glass or whatnot. So I've been experimenting with this myself.

I haven't found the magic yet, but I've getting "better" results with 3000 grit paper. It's a green mylar paper. Then I'm taking a buff stick(the stuff you apply to a buffing wheel) and using that like a crayon over the surface. I use it lightly for a long time and it seems to get rid of the fine abrasions leftover after the sandpaper. There are many different sticks and so far I've only used the red general purpose grit.

I'ts still not as good as I'd like(not that great at all really) but I've saved one light so far. I want to try other sticks to see if they work better.

might be for plastic, but any place that installs windshields should have the stuff to buff out glass. we had some jerk mess up the glass on over a hundred brand new audi's doing the window etching. they use an acid that needs to be applied through a stencil and then removed in about a minute or less. he left them all on for weeks and the acid ate through the stencil and ruined all sorts of stuff and they had a glass guy buff out the glass and did some good work.

I've got stuff for plastic and it works pretty good for minor stuff. A lot of manual buffing is required, but it does work.

For glass though is the trick. B3/B4 headlights are glass and pit horribly. That's the problem I'm working on.
