I want the lips red. And removal of the lips is no issue at all. Infact, they're already disassembled.

clear coat or are they bare and polished right now? if there's no clear on them it'll be quite reasonable to do. spam16v@gmail.com and we'll get the ball rolling if you'd like.

can i get my suspension parts powdercoated? (a arms, shocks, stress bars) and a couple motor parts( intake manifold, valve cover) or are they too high heat and high friction to do? my understanding is that the powdercoat is a plastic that that melts into a puddle so to speak and then shrink wraps itself to metal... if i am wrong please tell me, because i have no experience with such things.

I'm not very familiar with powdercoating but I have never heard it
explained like that. From what I've watched on TV the item being
coated is positively charged, and the paint is negatively charged.
The paint is attracted to the item, after that it is baked, and waaa laaa
done.

long story short, yeah. through the power of magic powder sticks and then bonds to the metal by command of the oven fairies. it's on there once it's on there, almost ALL of the work is prep. everything has to be removed unless it's powdercoated already and you can overcoat sometimes if you know exactly what kind of powder is on there. so esentially it always has to go to bare metal. putting powder on the part, and baking it is pretty simple. but if it's not cleaned, blasted, washed, outgassed, rinsed, preheated, cleaned and then painted.... it might have looked better before we tried to powdercoat.

typical powder is good to 6-700deg F, high temp is good for 1200-1300deg F, so intake manifolds, valve covers, suspension parts, whatever... we can do subframes, swaybars, SIQ AIR BAG brackets, and so on. i don't make any real money @ this, just trying to break even on the oven we built, i sublet all serious stripping and media blasting to Blast Off Inc here in buffalo such as wheels and large parts with tough to remove coatings on them. but other than the cost of the oven, the gun, and the nightmare (at times) of prep work believe it or not the powder is cheaper than spray paint. been talking with Chris back and forth about an advertiser account to keep everyone happy so don't cry spam quite yet b/c i don't make money doing this, puts a $5 footlong in my belly and puts a few bucks back in the hole the oven put in the budget.
