I have a vw gti. Mkiv 1.8t. Annoying rattle at low rpm that I sourced to the plastic timing belt cover. I need a new belt don't I ?

Belt job (complete) done on 10/19/07 and the car had 52,523 miles on it.

I have been sourcing all my rattles and odd noises. I made a brackett for my power steering line that I broke off my tranny over a year ago.

I rarely see those bolts intact. Get some sort of rubber sleeve in there too so you don't wear through the hardline.
