Bit size - 08-28-2010, 08:48 PM

Ok, my headlight switch on the Avant crapped out on me, bad time of day, but at least in a convenient location- if you want to know details, ask. Of course it was replaced two and a half years ago at Athol, and now it needs replacing again.

What is the bit size for the torx screws on the spokes of the steering wheel and the center? Please, do not tell me I need an "Audi special tool" to remove the steering wheel, 'cos then I am going to be royally pissed. Of course, my car is due for registration, and inspection (it's done every two years here), so a quick reply is asked, since I have to get the part. Other than ECS, anyone else have any other suggestions?

Torx size for the airbag center section should be T25 or T27.

Thank you sir. Next question. To disable the air bag just disconnect the ground from the battery, right?

Yes. Disconnect negative terminal first, disconnect airbag, reconnect airbag, reconnect battery.
