Well the Rabbit's engine is junk as of today.
While doing a WOT tune with megasquirt, a valve decided to drop into cylinder 2 at redline.
The noise and smoke that shot out the back were pretty bad.
I thought maybe I just blew the head gasket.
After a push down the Sweethome Ramp, thanks to Adam, Seamus and Walt, we got it hooked up for a tow back to Adam's garage. (Seamus tells me the RM's look hot when rolling :) )

We decided to pull the spark plugs to see if we could turn it over by hand
until we saw this

I quick look down into the cylinder, you can see what's left of the plug and a valve :(

Now I gotta figure out what the future is gonna be.
Strive for something faster?
Or go the slow and low route.

And do I have to replace the hub? They are damn expensive.
It seems as if doing a HID conversion would eliminate the issue. I'm not getting rid of my car anytime soon, so if I can get a year, year and a half out of a bulb, and improve the lighting, it seems like a win-win situation. So, has anyone tried this? Any recommendations as to which kit? VVME?
Even if i can get a straight pipe made I'll be happy since I can always add muffler/resonator on my own. I can weld and have expanders accessible.
Let me know, or if you have an exhaust you'ld sell I'm all ears
