SCCA Autocross - 08-25-2010, 02:11 PM

Hello again all, sorry yet again for disapering, i started a real 0800-1630 job and have not really been on my computer at all (making this post from work in truth)

So I signed up for my first SCCA autocross, the one this saturday at ECC North. I was wondering if anyone from the forum was going to be there who wouldn't mind showing a newbie like myself around for the day. While I am sure I could manage it fine on my own I am quite certin having someone who could show me the ropes as it were would be useful.
Hope all is well here, I have a lot of posts to go back through and read... Hopefully see some of you this coming Saturday.

Cheers,
|~Vito

Are you sure your not talking about 9/12 at ECC? Seneca army depot is this sunday 8/25. I signed up a month ago when my car was finished, but i am going to boston instead this weekend. If i was going this weekend, I would help you. A quick word of advice is if your like me (lazy, slow, night owl) get a good nights' sleep and make sure you get up early and at the event early. You need to be registered, car tech'd, and it doesnt hurt to walk the course a few times to familiarize yourself. I would also sign up for the novice class, this will allow you to have an instructor for the day, which is VERY helpful. Good luck.

SCCA - Sports Car Club of America

take a look at this too. Some helpful info in there as far as rules.

Wow, I really am out of it, and havn't been checking things. I do in fact mean 12/9 at ECC north. Thanks for posting that, I think I would have noticed, but you never know.
Thanks for the tips Big E, I have already read through the rules as well as an faq on the wny scca site. Perhaps I will see you at the 12/9 race.

Cheers,

Now that I have my dates all straight... Is there anyone going to be going to the SCCA autocross this weekend at ECC north who wouldn't mind showing a newbie around?

Cheers,

I'll be there, racing an '07 black STi with no bookshelf on the back.

there are a good amount of us instructors there, and any other driver is usually more than happy to have you tag along with them for a ride or two.
