sold

1997 VW Jetta GLX VR6 - 147XXX miles - Black on Black $4000 or best offer.

http://www.dubsinthebuff.com/forum/v...jay-wonch.html

9.5/10 Interior - Very Clean and well maintained, no rips/tears or stains on the leather. Door cards and carpet are near perfect.

7/10 Exterior - Several small paint chips on the rear bumper and several very small dents on the hood/roof (it appears to be from light hail)

I've recently replaced the exhaust and catalytic converter (and both O2 sensors), the coolant pipe and thermostat housing, the tie rods, front brake rotors, new wheels and tires and many other small things.
Car also comes with a turn2 intake.
The BBS RX 279 Wheels pictures are currently installed on the car.

The car drives and shifts well but the 2nd gear synchro will sometimes grind with a hard shift.
I've recently driven the car to upstate NY and back to Annapolis (8 hours) without any issues.

The car will come with an H&R Cup Kit that I have yet to install and a new window motor/regulator for the front DS window.
The windows currently do not roll down, but the dealership assessed the problem and said the window regular needs to be replaced (it's drawing too much power and blowing the fuse, I've verified.)
The windows roll up/down from the outside of the car with the key.

It's currently showing a check engine light for "Secondary Air Injector Incorrect Flow"

It really is a great car, but I'm in need of something larger.

I'll be up in Buffalo on the 30th-31st if there is any serious interest.

I drove this car on the 4th. It's quite nice. It's worth mentioning that the driver's seat lower lateral bolster isn't bent like most vr leathers of this vintage. Also, it didn't grind into second for me at all, so it's likely an issue that most people can live with.

I also drove this piece of equipment last week as well. It's excellent. Totally worth the price.
