Can you just cancel it? I get weird pop ups a few times a year regarding debug mode or some crap. Not on this site though.

I've never gotten it. Can someone tell me what it is? What it's blocking exactly?

I just contacted my host about what happened and hopefully they can shed some light onto what was going on because I have no idea.

if you click on a link, it asks if you want to download it.... and i hit "open in firefox" then it opens a new tab that says "cannot open C:\whateverthefuckthelinkis"

trying to hit the C-drive.

When goto tube8.com and play a hot pRoN vid, i get a pop up for an amature web cam site. This happens while using firefox at work.

It's possible that vB (or maybe the web server) is fucking up and sending down the wrong content-type. If the content-type is something the browser can't render or doesn't have a plugin to handle it'll treat it as a file you are intending to download and save.

Something funky was going on yesterday. I received an email from my host letting me know that yesterday their automatic hourly backup system started having problems whenever it ran. So the backup would run and then the server load would spike up crazy high which in turn slows everything down and can cause some weird problems. They disabled it until they are able to fix it. If you hit the site when this problem was occuring it was most likely the reason for the oddness.
