Only place is a dealer and they have to order it by you key number. Mine cost me $389 key and program when I lost my only key.

They are all over vortex, some are even blanks. I think I even still have one or two laying around. If you bought one that was already cut
you can buy blank blades and have the dealer cut and program it.
Going this route would be much much cheaper than doing it all thru
the dealer.

Anyone ever try Lockmaster on SW Blvd in OP? I've seen ad's for them specifically noting lower prices for chipped auto keys and wondered if they would be worth trying.

Keys, key duplication, key making and automotive key programming

probably worth checking out.

I can program keys (both the keyless entry, and the immo1 &2) but as for buying them im clueless... usally just get them from the dealer I think it was 130-150 for a 2000 GTI key cut.

I lost my one and only key and had to have my car towed to the dealership. Then my key was returned to me and I'm pretty sure my first key needs a reprogram because it no longer starts my car.

ya whenever introducing a new key to the car all old keys have to be there to program them all back in.
