B18 mk2 GTi - 08-11-2010, 03:47 PM

b18 vw gti - Honda-Tech

i really want to see what the rear mount looks like. a super stout 170 hp 4 cylinder in an awesome looking/handling car (one of my favs) cant be beat

Only had to notch the chassis for the crank pulley and trans case.I found that DA integra wheel bearings were the same OD as the golf ones so I was able to use them and press the honda hub in the VW knuckle. This allowed me to use stock DA axles. A EF clutch cable even worked perfect with the vw pedal, so I just used the cable conversion kit form hasport and a set of their DC mounts too.
one of these days...

i love how the honda hubs press into the vw knuckles without an issue. and the da teg (90-93) axles are the right leingth, slip right into the vw hub. fuck

Wow, that is the best of both worlds! VR6 power, with a lightweight aluminium high reving reliable Honda engine in the best Golf ever made. I <3 it. I'd rather see a K20 in there, but this is still good!
