    Hey Guys,

I have recently installed VWR springs on my 2016 MK7 GTI. I got them installed early April. For the past two months, they were fantastic. No noise nor anything. When I did the install on the car, I bought brand new strut mounts, bearings and hardware to assure I wouldn't have any issues in the near future.

Unfortunately, I have recently noticed a very subtle clunking noise in my front suspension every time I hit a small bump or pothole. It sounds like something is Knocking around. I am not quite sure what it may be?

Has anybody experienced this issue or may have a clue on what it could be?

    Thanks!

I don't know if mk7s have this issue but the mkv and mk6s had a subframe issue where the bolts stretched on lowered cars and made a clunking noise. The solution was a set of upgraded bolts from Passats or Audi's I think. If you Google mkv subframe clunk you'll find the vortex threads on it.

I had a similar issue on a MK6 and it ended up being the strut wasn’t seated all the way down in the knuckle.
